Moore Magnet Elementary School provides students with life skills by using the theories of multiple intelligences and brain-based instructional practices to teach the state Standard Course of Study. Dr. Howard Gardner, a medical doctor and professor at Harvard University, theorized that there are many forms of intelligences, or "smarts," by which a person knows, understands and learns about the world. At Moore, Gardner's theories are put to use by giving students experience opportunities for learning through the eight "smarts."

Students wear uniforms two days a week and their "eight-smarts" shirts on Fridays.

In addition to its magnet spaces that are open to students from throughout Forsyth County, Moore also has spaces reserved for students from Zone 7. Transportation to Moore is provided by the school system for students who live in Zone 7. There will be Express Bus Route service for those who live outside of Zone 7.
