Mineral Springs is a magnet for arts and leadership with curriculum that targets the positive development of the whole child as he or she transitions from childhood through adolescence in the middle school years. Our mission statement establishes that in partnership with our greater community, we are committed to challenging and supporting our students to reach their highest intellectual, physical, emotional and social potential.

Mineral Springs offers an outstanding academic and encore program, including special offerings of dance, drama, orchestra, chorus, band, piano, and gymnastics.  Our success is supported through our strong faculty, clear leadership expectations, an excellent instructional program, and the cooperation of our students and their families.

According to Principal Caldwell, "Each individual will be empowered with self-knowledge that is derived from a variety of sources. Every student will complete an interest and assessment series upon entering our school. This data will guide decisions based on the interests, talents, skills and needs of each individual. Placement in core and encore classes will reflect the results of these Multiple Intelligences Profiles and allow our staff to tailor the three year middle school experience to reflect that data."

Mineral Springs Middle School offers opportunities to students throughout Forsyth County. As a countywide magnet school, transportation is provided.

Congratulations to Ana Posada, the 2008-2009 WS/FCS Teacher of the Year!!!
