At Diggs-Latham, the arts and global studies are integrated into daily instruction to provide students with diverse learning experiences. They are prepared for 21st-century learning through high-quality instruction that challenges them and assists them in developing global awareness.

Students take part in conversations and activities that help them to think creatively. They are encouraged to analyze, apply and evaluate their work, and to be open to new perspectives. All students are expected to lead and guide others and to demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior.

Diggs-Latham is located in the historic West Salem neighborhood shared by the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Salem Academy and College, and Winston-Salem State University. These schools are each recognized for their arts, global studies and applied technology programs.

As a magnet school, Diggs-Latham offers an environment that is student-centered and built on a foundation of family, community and staff collaboration.
